Tutorial By Marleschka
This tutorial was made in PSP 8.1 but can be done in any version. For this tutorial you will need 2 tubes and 2 masks, you can get the ones I used Here Tubes are from Yoka, and Suzi Sgai who are no longer online You will also need the filters, Graphics Plus and Eye Candy 3.
Place your masks in your masks folder and open the tubes in PSP.
Please note: All Layers are turned off on the tubes
( 1 ) Open a new 700 x500 transparent Image. Place your foreground on #5A7671, your background on #FFFFFF. Make a foreground, background linear gradient, angle 0, repeats 1 and flood fill your canvas.
( 2 ) New layer. Flood fill with #5A7671.
( 3 ) New Layer, Flood fill with #FFFFFF.
( 4 ) Layers, load save mask from disc, find and apply the Geometric Squares mask with these settings, Source Luminance, Fit to canvas checked, Hide all mask checked.
( 5 ) Layers merge, merge group. Layers merge, merge down.
( 6) Effects, Geometric effects, Perspective Vertical with these settings. Distortion -70, Edge Mode Transparent. Effects 3D effects, dropshadow with these settings. V & H 10, Opacity 52, Blur 8 and Color Black. Repeat with H at -10.
( 7 ) Copy the tube Yoka-Photos-lady-100807. Image resize by 85%, all layers unchecked. Move her toward the top. Effects 3D effects, dropshadow with these settings. V & H 10, Opacity 52, Blur 8 and Color Black.
( 8 ) Click on the layer below the tube & switch your foreground and background colors. With your Preshape tool set to triangle, vector and line size 2 draw out a triangle around the lady. With your object selection tool fit it so that it shows from just below her shoulders and just below the drop shadow at her feet. ( See my image )
( 9 ) Objects aline, horz. center in canvas. Convert to a raster layer.
( 10 ) With your magic wand click inside the triangle, new layer and flood fill with white. Layers, load save mask from disc, find and apply the Geometric cirkels mask with these settings, Source Luminance, Fit to layer checked, Hide all mask checked.
( 11 ) Layers merge, merge group. Layers merge, merge down. Effects 3D effects, dropshadow with these settings. V & H 10, Opacity 52, Blur 8 and Color Black. Repeat with H at -10.
( 12 ) Still underneath the tube layer, copy the tube SS_60 and paste as a new layer. Move it with your deform tool to the top and pull it out both sides so it fits the canvas and pull it up from the bottom a little. Put the blend mode on LuminanceL.
( 13 ) With your eraser tool set to size 90, Hardness 0, Opacity 30 click lightly from the top on the right side so you can see the perspective oblong that runs to the top.
( 14 ) Back to the tube SS_60. Image Rotate, Rotate Counter-clockwise 90. Copy.
( 15 ) Click on your raster layer 2 and paste as a new layer. Move it with your deform tool to the left side and just below the bottom edge of the same tube. Pull it in to the side a little. Place the blend mode on luminace and the opacity on 30. With your eraser tool, same settings as before,click lightly over the top of this tube to take away the hard line.
( 16) Duplicate this layer and Image mirror. Layers merge, merge down.
( 17) Back to the top layer. Take your Text Tool set to Vector and your background on #5A7671, foreground nul, font ( I used Tabitha at size 32 ) Write Lift Me Up. Place it at the very bottom, Objects align, Horizontal Center in Canvas. Convert to a raster layer.
( 18 ) Effects, Eye Candy 3.01, Perspective Shadow with these settings. Vanishing Point Direction 95, Vanishing Point Distance 100, Lenght 99, Opacity 59, Blur 2 and Color Black. Layers Merge, Merge All.
( 19 ) Image add borders and add a 1 pixel black border.
( 20 ) Image add borders 15 White. Select this white border with your magic wand and fill with the gradient. Keep selected.
( 21 ) Effects, Graphics Plus, Cross Shadow with all settings on 50 except the last one on 128. Selections Invert.
( 22 ) Effects 3 D Effects, Cutout with these settings, V & H 0, Opacity 90 and blur 15. Selections select none.
( 23 ) Image add borders, 2 Black. Resize to your original size. Save as a JPG and you are finished.
