How to Clean PSP Games

0

There are several ways to clean your PSP games depending on how often you clean them. Because dirty CDs might harm consoles, PSP owners should take proper care and regularly clean their disks.

How to Connect PSP to Wi-Fi

0

Can a PSP be connected to the internet? Yes, As long as you have access to a wireless network, your PSP can connect to the internet, allowing you to peruse the web and play select games against other people online.

Here’s how you can connect the PSP to Wi-Fi:

Step 1:

To activate Wi-Fi connections on your PSP, you’ll need to press the WLAN switch. The switch is located on the left side of the PSP-1000 and PSPgo, near the analogue nub. Slide the switch to the right. The WLAN switch is on the PSP-2000 and 3000, is located on the top and to the left of the UMD drive. Toggle the switch to the right.
In order to establish a connection to the internet, you should have at least version 2.0 of the PSP’s operating system. The most recent PSP operating system is 6.1.

Step 2:

To change the settings, move your cursor to the left. It’s the suitcase icon on the main menu’s far left side. Then, on the network settings page, press X. Near the bottom of the Settings column, you’ll see this option.

Step 3:

Press X after selecting Infrastructure Mode. You can connect your PSP to a wireless router, such as your home router, in this way. Then hit X to choose a new connection. You will be able to save a new connection on your PSP as a result of this. Select and tap X if you already have a functional connection saved. Now you’ll be able to connect the PSP to Wi-Fi connection. Up to 10 individual connections can be saved.

Step 4:

Select Scan and then press X right afterward. Your PSP will now search for any wireless networks that are available. If your PSP still doesn’t connect, you should try moving closer to the router. If you have T-PSP Mobile’s plan, you may also choose Wireless Hotspot, which is the sole option to connect to a mobile hotspot. After your PSP finishes scanning, a list of networks will appear on the screen, select your Wi-Fi network. On the SSID screen, press the right arrow. Your current network name will be automatically selected.

Step 5:

Right-click the WPA-PSK (AES) option and select it. This will change the security type of your network to WPA, which is supported by the PSP. Please enter your password. Press X on the WPA Key page, then enter your network’s password and press X, then press X again, then the “Right” arrow. After selecting “Easy,” press the “Right” arrow. Press the Right arrow again to confirm your network’s name and Test connection, if it says Successful your device was configured properly.

Follow these instructions and you’ll have the answer to how to connect your PSP to the internet easily.

How to Reset PSP

0

If you’ve bought your second-hand PSP or your sibling just gave it to you and you want to get rid of all the old data so that you can add your own music and games into it, you must be wondering, ‘how do you reset your PSP?’  OR If you’ve come across a problem that you can’t fix and want to reset your PSP but don’t know how to. We have just the answer for you!

There are two ways by which you can successfully reset your PSP. But there are conditions for each. One is a soft reset and the other is a Hard reset. We will take you through both of the methods.

Soft Reset

If your PSP is working properly and the display is also functional, here’s how you can do a soft reset of your PSP easily.

1 – Turn on your PSP
2 – Go to the Settings menu
3 – Select System Reset
4 – Wait a few minutes while the settings are reset as well as the data is wiped.

If this method doesn’t work and you can’t reset your PSP, we have a second method for you.

Hard Reset

To properly do a hard reset on your PSP, make sure to follow the method properly in order to avoid any consequential faults. This PSP reset method should only be used in case your PSP is not functioning properly.

1 – Remove the battery while the PSP is still on.
2 – Wait 10 seconds before inserting the battery again.
3 – Press both of the shoulder buttons at the top of the PSP simultaneously.
4 – Keep them holding while the PSP reboots.
5 – Recovery mode should be initiated.
6 – Navigate to the recovery folder using the PSP controls, his folder contains all your data.
7 – Press X to initiate a factory reset.
8 – Your PSP should now be reset to factory settings.

Frame Template

0

Tutorial by Charlie

First, you need the plug-in Filters Unlimited 2.0 by I.C.Net Software, It is the only plug-in that you need for this tutorial, but it is NOT supplied with the tutorial nor is the link supplied. The inside dimensions of the frame template are approximately 270 X 450. You will be “pasting your image into the selected area” so it is important to downsize your image or use an image that is as close to those dimensions as possible. If you don’t, it will be greatly distorted.

This tutorial assumes that you have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro and includes only the “template” for the frame and a sample eml so that you can see the finished product in a stationery. If you use the template to make your frame, you will see how easy it is to create a frame from a template and by using your own imagination, you can create a great variety of templates for your own personal use.

Create the frame templates and just save them as a psp image or a jpg for yourself for future use! You can get the template for this frame Here. There is also an EML file included in the zip so you can see how it looks in a stationery. There is also a html file of this tutorial included in the zip. In creating this template, I chose to use varied colors. Since there are no “web shots” for you to fall back on, that way I can just tell you what “colored area” we will be working on. Have fun!

( 1 ) Choose your image. Again, if you have to cut some of the image off, please do so. It is important to keep the image as close to 270 Wide X 450 High. After you choose your image make 2 copies and put your original away. Resize one of them as closely as you can to the size of 270 wide by 450 high. With the second image, go to EFFECTS, SIMPLE and Quick Tile. You will be utilizing that tiled image later in the tutorial.

( 2) With your eyedropper, select 2 complimentary colors from your image … a lighter color in the foreground box, a darker color in the background box. Open the template, make a copy of it and close and save the original.

( 3 ) Choose your “Magic Wand” tool with the Mode set at Add (Shift), Match Mode at RGB Value, Tolerance at 10, Sample Merged NOT checked, Contiguous checked, Feather 0 and Anti-alias NOT checked. Then, select the white portion of the template.

( 4 ) Click on the image you choose and go to EDIT, Copy. Then go back to the template and choose EDIT, Paste Into Selection. Keep selected.

( 5 ) Choose EFFECTS, 3-D Effects, Cut-Out and apply the following settings: Vertical 7, Horizontal -9, Shadow Color Black, Opacity 45 to 70, Blur 26 to 28 and fill interior with color NOT checked. Keep selected.Frame Template

( 6 ) Repeat the cut-out, leaving all settings the same EXCEPT for the Vertical and Horizontal. Change the Vertical to -9 and the Horizontal to 7. Then choose SELECTIONS, Select None

( 7 ) With your magic wand (making sure that it is set at (Add-Shift), select the first thin grey border that is right up against the image AND the second thin grey border that is next to the yellow area, and flood fill them with your lighter foreground color.

( 8 ) Leave the border selected and choose EFFECTS, 3-D, Inner Bevel, with the following settings: Bevel #2, Width 4, Smoothness 6, Depth 1, Ambience 1, Shininess 8, Color White, Angle 328, Intensity 65, Elevation 16 and apply the bevel and go to SELECTIONS and Select None.

( 9 ) With your magic wand, select the yellow area and flood fill it with your darker background color. Keeping the area selected go to ADJUST, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise with a dot in Uniform, 100% Noise and Monochrome. Apply the noise and keep selected.

( 10 ) Go up to EFFECTS, 3-D, Cut-out and apply a cut-out with the following settings: Vertical 2, Horizontal -2, Shadow Color Black, Opacity 75, Blur 4, Fill interior with color NOT checked. Apply the Cut-out. Then, apply the cut out a second time, but reverse the Vertical and Horizontal so that they are Vertical -2 and Horizontal 2. SELECTIONS, Select None.

( 11 ) With your magic wand (making sure it is set for the Add/Shift Mode) select the 4 light pink areas of the template and flood fill them with the lighter foreground color. Keeping it selected go to ADJUST and add noise with the exact same settings as previously used. Keeping the area selected, to up to EFFECTS, 3-D, cut-out and apply a cut-out with the following settings: Vertical -3, Horizontal 3, Shadow Color Black, Opacity 75 and Blur 4 and fill interior with color NOT checked. Apply the cut-out and then apply it the second time, changing the Vertical to 3 and the Horizontal to -3. SELECTIONS, and select none.

( 12 ) With your magic wand (again making sure that it is set for the mode Add/Shift) select the next 4 very thin hot pink borders and flood fill them with your lighter foreground color. Keeping the area selected, go to EFFECT, 3-D, Inner Bevel and using the same settings as previously, apply the inner bevel. Then go to SELECTIONS, Select None.

( 13 ) With your Magic Wand, select the large blue area in the template. Now open that copy of your main image that you tiled earlier and in your materials palette, set it for PATTERN and select that tiled image. Then flood fill the selected area with the tiled pattern. Keeping the area selected, go to ADJUST, Blur, Gaussian Blur and set it between 12 and 15 … or whatever you decide you like. Then go to EFFECTS, 3-D and cut-out, with the following settings: Vertical -4, Horizontal 4, Shadow Color Black, Opacity 60, Blur 20 and Fill Interior With Color NOT checked. Then apply another cut-out, reversing the Vertical to 4 and the Horizontal to -4. Go to SELECTIONS and Select None.

( 14 ) With your Magic Wand, (again making sure it is set at the Mode Add/Shift) select the 4 thin coral color borders and change your Material Palette back to Color instead of pattern and fill the borders with the light foreground color and then keeping them selected, apply the inner bevel with the same settings. Then go to SELECTIONS and select none.

( 15 ) Now go to the 4 very pale green wide borders and with your Magic Wand (set at Add/Shift) select the 4 areas and flood fill them with darker background color and keeping the area selected, go to EFFECTS, Filters Unlimited 2, Paper Textures, Canvas-Fine and apply the plug in. Then go to EFFECTS, 3-D and apply a cut out with the following settings: Vertical 2, Horizontal -2, Opacity 40, Blur 20, Fill interior with color NOT checked and then apply the cut out again, changing the Vertical to -2 and the Horizontal to 2. SELECTIONS and select none.

( 16 ) With your Magic Wand, now click on the final thin grey border that goes all the way around the frame and flood fill it with the lighter foreground color and keeping it selected, apply the inner bevel with the same settings. SELECTIONS, Select None .. re-size your work to the size you want …and, you are finished!!!

OR … you can add some corner embellishments of your choice to “dress it up” a bit! Now, remember that you can “rotate” the template so that you can make the frame and image wider and shorter instead of the way I have it turned. Have fun and also remember…try making your own templates! You can view more examples and get the zipped files for the templates Here

( 8 ) Click back on your mask layer. Please note: If you want the small inner stars to show more, then with your freehand selction tool make a selection all the way around those stars and the strings if you want. No need to be absolutely accurate with the selection, just don’t go over the wide blue line. Selections float, selections defloat. New layer and with your floodfill tool fill the selection with whatever color you want or a nice pattern. Selections select none. Layers merge, merge down.Merry Christmas

( 9 ) Copy and paste the presents tube as a new layer. If you are using Leilana’s tube, resize by 15%, all layers unchecked and again by 25%. Place it on the doorstep. Effects 3d effects dropshadow with these settings. V-1, H 1, Opacity 50, Blur 1 & color black.

Click next and then under Better Image Quality slide the slider down 1 then continue. This file is rather large but sliding the slider down one doesn’t do it any damage and makes the file smaller.

( 19 ) Save as a gif file and you are finished.

With this tutorial, I have supplied a tube, a frame, a brush and a textured background, which you can get Here (When you choose your own tube, you can have fun coming up with a textured background that reflects your main image!) The brush was made by me for this tutorial from a combination of font parts and preset shapes … and you have permission to use it as you like. Unzip the file and place the brush in your PSP brush folder.

There are a number of ways to accomplish this .. what I do? I put the brush on my desk top, then I open PSP and go to FILE, IMPORT, CUSTOM BRUSH. When the dialog box opens, I choose OPEN and at the top LOOK IN and I browse to my Desktop, locate the brush, click on it and ADD ALL and it will now be imported into PSP 9 as a custom brush.

Place the frame in your PSP Frames Folder and open the Flowers tube and the Textured Background in Paint Shop Pro. For the stationery that I wanted to make with this image, I needed the finished image, 2 backgrounds and a glitter or satin background. What you do about your backgrounds will depend on how you want to use what you make.

1.) There are so many neat things that you can do with tubes. I was playing around and decided to give this a try. Open the tube in PSP.

2.) In your Materials Palette, place the following 2 colors, #d4ddc2 as your foreground color and #7f8c52 as your background color. If you use a tube of your own choice, then you will need to select a light and dark shade of the same color from your own tube.

3.) With your Flowers tube active, choose LAYERS, ADD NEW RASTER LAYER and name this layer POOL SHADOW. In your layers palette, drag it under the Flowers Layer. Then, flood fill the POOL SHADOW LAYER with the background (darker) color.

4.) Keeping your Pool Shadow Layer Active, go to EFFECTS PLUG-INS FILTER FACTORY A POOL SHADOW and leave all the settings alone except for the bottom 2. Change them to 72 and 106

5.) With the Pool Shadow Layer still active, go to LAYERS ADD NEW RASTER LAYER Name the layer BACKGROUND Then, in your layers palette, drag that background layer under the Pool Shadow Layer … and flood fill that layer with the background (darker) color.Playing With Tubes

6.) In your layers Palette, make the Pool Shadow Layer active Open the c_textured BG and go to EDIT COPY Click on the image you have been working on and go to EDIT PASTE AS A NEW LAYER

7.) In your layers palette, lower the opacity of this new layer to 30

8.) Go to LAYERS MERGE ALL FLATTEN

9.) Go to your Tools and choose the Paintbrush tool and in your TOOL OPTIONS, browse to the brush c_my_edging2

10.) Place the brush over your merged image, making sure you have it placed so that it meets the 4 sides and hold your mouse very steady and left click .. if you would like the brush to be a little bolder, then left click twice. In my sample, I clicked twice.

11.) Then, go to IMAGE ADD BORDERS, with a white color, symmetrical and a setting of 8

12.) With your magic wand set at a tolerance of zero, click on the 8 pixel border and flood fill it with the foreground (lighter) color.

13.) Then, go to EFFECTS PLUG-INS-FILTER FACTORY A POOL SHADOW and use the same settings as previous used. Select None

14.) Go to IMAGE ADD BORDERS COLOR WHITE Symmetrical 35

15.) With your magic wand, still set at a tolerance of zero, click on the white, 35 pixel border and flood fill it with the foreground (lighter) color.

16.) Go to EFFECTS PLUG-INS I.C. NET SOFTWARE FILTERS UNLIMITED 2.0 PAPER TEXTURES WALLPAPER FINE and use the default settings

17.) Then choose SELECTIONS INVERT

18.) Go to EFFECTS 3 D Drop Shadow, with the following settings: Vertical -1 Horizontal -2 Opacity 72 Blur 21 Color Black and SELECT NONE

19.) Go to IMAGE ADD BORDERS Color, White Symmetrical 20

20.) Keeping that 20 pixel border selected, go to LAYERS ADD A NEW RASTER LAYER and then flood fill that new layer with the foreground (lighter) color

21.) Go to EFFECTS PLUG-INS I.C. NET SOFTWARE FILTERS UNLIMITED 2.0 PAPER TEXTURES WALLPAPER FINE and use the default settings

22.) Keeping that 20 pixel border selected, go to IMAGE PICTURE FRAME Browse to cphotoedge2 and select it, with a dot in Frame Canvas and a dot in Frame Outside Of The Image Nothing else should have a dot. Hit okay. When you do that the image will “jump” and you will have a white fringed border and a black solid border.

23.) SELECT NONE and MERGE VISIBLE (Make sure you MERGE VISIBLE)

24.) With your magic wand set at a tolerance of 60, click on the black border and then go to EDIT CLEAR then SELECT NONE

25.) With your magic wand, now select the white irregular border and then flood fill it with the foreground (lighter) color.

26.) Go to EFFECTS PLUG-INS I.C. NET SOFTWARE FILTERS UNLIMITED 2.0 PAPER TEXTURES WALLPAPER FINE and use the default settings

27.) Keeping the area selected, go to EFFECT 3D INNER BEVEL, with these settings: Bevel 2 Width 4 Smoothness 4 Depth 2 Ambience 10 Shininess 52 Color White Angle 315 Intensity 25 Elevation 51 SELECT NONE

I exported the image as a transparent gif because I wanted it to appear as it does in the stationery sample. You will have to decide how you want to use the image you make and save it accordingly. I hope you had fun .. learned that the “PICTURE FRAME” option in PSP can be fun to work with if you don’t use it .. and also .. that you can fool around, create your own brushes from fonts or selections .. and create!!!! :>) Hugs Charlie
