Tutorial By Marleschka

This tutorial was made in PSP X2 but can be done in any version. For this tutorial all you need is in the zip file which you can get Here
PLEASE NOTE, ALL LAYERS IN THE TUBE FILES ARE TURNED OFF.

Tubes are from Yvonne and Gerry. You will also need the filters, FM Tile Tools and Alienskin Xenofex 2. You will also need the Transparency, eliminate black filter which is included in the zip file. Unzip it to your plugin folder.

Bring up the brush in PSP and go to file, export custom brush, give it a name and hit OK, Bring up the tubes in PSP and go to Layers view, view all.


( 1 ) Open a new 700 x 500 transparent Image.


( 2 ) Place your foreground color on #852c36 and your background color on #d6a597. In your foreground make a Radial Gradient with these settings, Angle 45, Repeats 13, Horizontal and Vertical at 50, Invert checked.


( 3 ) New Layer and flood fill with the dark color.


( 4 ) New Layer, Flood fill with the gradient.


( 5 ) Effects, Texture Effects, Mosaic Glass with these settings. Number of Columns and Rows, 50, Symetric checked, Glass curvature 3, Edge curvature 2, Grout width 5, Grout diffusion 40.


( 6 ) Effects Alien Skin, Xenofex 2, Clasic Mosaic with these settings. Tile Size 4.10, Grout Width 40, Edge Sensitivity 50, Color Black.


( 7 ) Effects, Transparency, Eliminate Black.Dreams


( 8 ) Effects 3d Effects Dropshadow with these settings, V & H 0, Opacity 100, Blur 20, Color Black.


( 9) Layers duplicate, Image Mirror. Layers Merge, Merge down.


( 10 ) Copy the tube dreams-corner1, paste as a new layer onto your image. Place it at the top left. Place the blend mode on LuminanceL and reduce the opacity to 95. Layers duplicate and image mirror. Layers merge, merge down.


( 11 ) Copy the tube loving lady, paste as a new layer onto your image. Image resize at 85%, all layers unchecked. Image mirror. Slide her to the bottom. Adjust Hue & Saturation, colorise with these settings, Hue 8, Saturation 66.Layers duplicate. Go to the original layer. Effects Distortion effects Wind set to From left and Wind strength 100.


( 12 ) Back to the top layer. Effects, 3d effects drop shadow with these settings. V & H -2, Opacity 50, Blur 20 and color black. Layers merge, merge down.


( 13 ) Copy the tube Gerry-Men4- 11 maart 2008, paste as a new layer onto your image. Image resize at 80% all layers unchecked.


( 14 ) Drag this layer below the lady. Place him to the right. Layers Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from disc and use the 20/20 mask. Layers merge, merge group. Layers duplicate, Layers merge, merge down.


( 15 ) Take your Eraser, size 32, hardness 0 & Opacity 50 and right click over the man where you would like it darker. Also clear away any of him that is showing over the lady.


( 16 ) Layers duplicate. Go to the original tube layer and repeat the wind effect, same setting. Lower the opacity of the layer to 60. Back to the top layer, effects 3d effects drop shadow with these settings, V -2, H 2, rest of settings as before. Layer merge, merge down.


( 17 ) Now you can leave him like that or colorise him as I did with with the same settings.


( 18 ) In your layer pallett click on raster 4. Copy the tube dreams-butterfly, paste as a new layer onto your image. Leave it there. Place the blend mode on LuminanceL.


( 19 ) Effects, FM Tile tools, Blend emboss with default settings. Layers duplicate. Image resize and resize by 75%, all layers unchecked. Place the opacity of this layer to 75. Place it above the first butterfly. (see my image) Layers duplicate, image resize and resize again by 75%. Lower the opacity of this layer to 50% and place it above the last one.


( 20) Back to the top layer. New layer. Take your brush tool and find the brush you saved at the beginning of this tutorial.


( 21) Place your background color on #fbf8fa, brush size 225 and right click at the top center of your image. Layers duplicate, layers merge, merge down.


( 22) Effects, 3d effects,drop shadow, V & H 1, Opacity 100, Blur 1 and color black.


( 23) Image add borders, symetric ticked, 1 color black.


( 24) Image add borders, symetric ticked, 50 in your dark color.


( 25) Select the boder with your magic wand, New Layer and floodfill with your gradient. (Make sure you have your background color back on #d6a597)


( 26) Now repeat steps 5, 6, 7 & 8. Image add boders, symetric ticked, 2 color black. Resize your image to width 700, Lock aspect ratio & all layers checked.


( 27) Copy the tube dreams-corner2, paste as a new layer onto your image. Place it at the top left. Place the blend mode on LuminanceL. Layers duplicate, image mirror. Layers merge, merge down. Effects FM Tile Tools, Blend Emboss, default settings. Layers duplicate and with your deformation tool (pic) move it to the bottom. Layers merge. merge down. Effects 3d Effects dropshadow with these settings. V & H 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5 & color Black. Repeat with V & H at -2.


( 28) Layers merge, merge visible. Place your name on it if you wish and you are finished.

Scrap Blend 4

This tutorial was made in PSP 8.1 but I am sure could be done in any version. For this I used a Scrap Kit from Gwyn Grafica. You can get it Here I have made the framed image for you but have supplied the tube, I have also made up some other imbellishments.You can get the zipped file Here Bring up the kit and tubes I supplied in PSP.


( 1 ) Open a new 600 x 500 transparent Image.


( 2 ) New Layer. Selections select all, In the kit gwyn_kit05 click on the layer raster 1, copy and paste as a new image.


( 3 ) Go to your foreground pattern and find this image, settings angle 0, scale 100 and flood fill your image.


( 4 ) Adjust Hue and Saturation, colorise with these settings, Hue 15, Saturation 61.


( 5 ) Copy and paste the frame tube as a new layer.


( 6 ) New Layer. In the kit gwyn_kit05 click on the layer named uniti, copy and paste as a new image.


( 7 ) Go to your foreground pattern and find this image, settings angle 0, scale 100 and flood fill your image.


( 8 ) Effects Filters Unlimited 2 and use Square Edge, square edge 11. Image mirror. Resize this layer to 501 x 409 all layers & aspect ratio unchecked. Give it a Drop shadow with these settings V0. H-3 opacity 40 and blur 5, & color black.


( 9 ) New Layer. In the kit gwyn_kit05 click on the layer raster 4, copy and paste as a new image.


( 10 ) Go to your foreground pattern and find this image, settings angle 0, scale 100 and flood fill your image.made in PSP 8.1


( 11 ) Copy and paste the framed image tube as a new layer. Put the blend mode of this layer on LuminanceL. Duplicate this layer and x it out in your layer pallett.


( 12 ) Go to the first framed image, ruduce the opacity to 70, and resize it by 90% all layers unchecked.


( 13 ) Effects Mura Meister Copies and us the preset *Line (rotate) at defailt settings.


( 14 ) Bring it down a little so the top of the duplicated frames is about 40 pixels from the top of the last layer.


( 15 ) X out all layers except for the last 2 and keep the top layer X’d out also. Merge layers visible.


( 16 ) Effects , Filters unlimited 2 and use Square Edge, square edge 11. Resize this layer to 500 x 409 all layers & aspect ratio unchecked. Give it a Drop shadow with these settings V0. H3 opacity 40 and blur 5 & color black.


( 17 ) Un X your layers and arrange your 2 paper layers. (See my image)


( 18 ) Go the top layer (should be the framed image) and place it to the top of the last layer(See my image) Give it a Drop shadow with these settings V0. H3 opacity 40 and blur 5, & color black, and again with H -3.


( 19 ) Copy and paste the flower tube as a new layer. Place it to the left bottom. (See my image)


( 20 ) Copy and paste the flower-petals tube as a new layer. Place them over the bottom of the flowers, match them up.


( 21 ) Copy and paste the button1 tube as a new layer. Place it to the top left (see my image)


( 22 ) Copy and paste the button2 tube as a new layer. Place it to the bottom right (see my image)


( 23 ) Go to the kit and copy raster 6, paste as a new layer onto your image. Resize it by 75% All aspect ratio checked and all layers unchecked. Place it to the top right. (See my image) Place the blend mode on LuminanceL. Merge visible.


( 24 ) In the kit you will see some alpha letters. Choose which ones you wish to use. (I used the word Oriental) Copy and paste them onto your image and resize them by 75%. When you have them placed as you want, X out your merged layer and merge the alpha letters visible. I then resized them again by 70% and gave them a drop shadow of V & H 1 Opacity 40 and Blur 1 & color black. I then placed the blend mode on Hard Light.


( 25 ) Take a nice font and write your name if you wish. Make sure everything is in it’s place and merge, merge all.


( 26 ) Image add borders, 2, color white, select with your magic wand and flood fill with #5A4131. With it still selected give it a drop shadow with these settings, V & H1, Opacity 70, color black and again with the V & H at -1. Select none. Resize if you wish, sharpen and save as a JPG. and you are finished.

Victorian Christmas Scrap

This tutorial was made in PSP 8.1 but I am sure could be done in any version. For this tutorial I used 13 tubes, (please note: all tubes layers are closed on these tubes) all of which are supplied in the zip files.

You can get my zipped files Here And Here I have split the tubes into 2 zip files so as to cut down on size.

The Christmas Ornaments you see in this tutorial are original and made by Charlie and you can find more Here There are 3 Pages of them. I have supplied all of the papers and embellishments for this tutorial but If you would like to know how to do them so you can make this look different then click Here

Bring up the tubes in PSP.


( 1 ) Open a new 625 x 525 transparent Image.


( 2 ) With your foreground on #FAE9CB and your background on #C8CCB0, In your foreground make a foreground background gradient with these settings, style linear, angle 0 repeats 0, invert checked and flood fill your image. ( please note the lighter color should be at the top of your gradient.)


( 3 ) Copy the tube paper1 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Place the opacity on 26.


( 4 )Copy the tube paper2 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Image, rotate, rotate right 15deg, all layers unchecked.Victorian Christmas


( 5 ) Go to the tube paper3 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Image, rotate, free rotate left 15deg, all layers unchecked.


( 6 ) Go to the tube lace and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Image, rotate, free rotate left 15deg, all layers unchecked. It will fall into the right place.


( 7 ) Go to the tube scrap-edge and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Image, free rotate, rotate left 15deg, all layers unchecked. Place it on the edge of the last paper layer. Duplicate this layer and move it to the other side of the paper.


( 8 ) Go to the tube scrap-pic. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Move it up and over slightly to the right (see my Image)


( 9 ) Effects 3D effects Dropshadow with these settings. V & H 2, Opacity 60 and Blur 15, Shadow on new layer checked. Now click back on the pic and repeat the drop shadow at V & H -2.


( 10 ) Close off all layers except for the shadow layers and the pic and merge visible. Un X your layers.


( 11 ) Go to the tube scrap-deco1 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Place it to the bottom left of the pic. (See my Image) You can move it again later if you have to.


( 12 ) Go to the tube scrap-deco2 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Place it to the bottom right of the pic. (See my Image) You can move it again later if you have to.


( 13 ) Go to the tube scrap-deco3 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Place it in the top left corner of the pic (See my Image)


( 14 ) Duplicate this layer and Image mirror. Move it into place. Close off all layers except the last two and merge visible. Un X your layers. Duplicate this merged layer and place it to the bottom of the pic.


( 15 ) Now you can move those Xmas balls so they look like they are hanging from that last layer.


( 16 ) Go to the tube scrap-deco4 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Image rotate, free rotate 30deg left. Place it under the pic to the right (See my Image)


( 17 ) Go to the tube scrap-deco5 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Image rotate, free rotate 30deg right. Place it under the pic to the left (See my Image)


( 18 ) Go to the tube scrap-deco6 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Place it at the top left. Duplicate and move this to the right (See my Image)


( 19 ) Go to the tube scrap-deco7 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Place it where you want.


( 20 ) Merge all layers visible. Resize to the size you wish and sharpen.


( 21 ) Selections select all, selections modify contract by 2, selections invert and flood fill with a nice gold pattern.


( 22 ) Place your name on it if you wish and you are finished.

Blend 24

This tutorial was made in PSP 8.1 but I am sure could be done in any version. You will need 2 tubes, (please note: all tubes layers are closed on these tubes)and a brush all of which are supplied in the zip file. You can get my zipped file Here You will also need the Filter Filters Unlimited 2

Bring up the brush in PSP and go to File, export custom brush, give it a name and hit OK. Bring up the tubes in PSP.


( 1 ) Open a new 600×450 transparent Image. Have your foreground color on #CFD0F5 and your background on #526B10. In your foreground make a foreground, background gradient with these settings, Style Linear, Angle 0 and repeats 0. (please note the lighter color should be at the top of the gradient) If not then just click invert.


( 2 ) New Layer. Flood fill this layer with your gradient.


( 3 ) New Layer. Selections. select all, Copy the tube SS_384 and paste into the selection. Selections, select none. Place the opacity of this layer on 44.


( 4 ) Merge these 2 layers visible. Effects, Illumination effects, Sunburst with these settings, Color #FEFDD2, Light Spot, Brightness 20, Horizontal 11, Vertical 13, Rays, Density and Brightness 20, Circle Brightness 20.


( 5 ) Go to the tube Mtm_Always_two-12-J.V-Small-25 Okt 2006 Copy paste as a new layer onto your Image. Resize this tube by 70%, all layers unchecked. Place it toward the bottom on the path (see my image) Place the opacity of this layer on 80. Effects 3D Effects, Drop Shadow with these settings, V -2, H 2 Opacity 70 and blur 10.


( 6 ) New Layer. Take your selection tool set to Rounded Rectangle. Draw out a rectangle on the left of your Image. I drew mine starting at 39-145 to 219-387. Selection modify, Select, Selection Borders and set it to 1, both sides and anti-alias checked. Have your foreground on the gradient except change the angle to 90 and repeats to 1. Fill your selection with the gradient, selections select none.


( 7 ) With your magic wand set to tolerance 30 click inside this selection, selections modify and expand by 1, New Layer and flood fill with your light color. Lower the opacity to 30. Drag this layer beneath the selection layer.


( 8 ) Back to your selection layer and with your magic wand, tolerance set back to 0, click outside this frame, selections invert. Effects 3D Effects, drop shadow with these settings, V & H set to 2, Opacity 40, Blur 10 and color Black. Repeat with V7H at -2. Selections, select none.


( 9 ) X out your bottom 2 layers and merge visible.Blend 24


( 10 ) New layer. Go to your brush and find the brush you saved at the beginning of this tutorial. Size 200 and your foreground set to the dark color stamp this brush inside the frame 3 times.


( 11 ) Effects 3D Effects, dropshadow with these settings, V & H set to 0, Opacity 50 and blur 0.


( 12 ) Layers merge, merge visible.


( 13 ) Effects I.C.Net Software Filters Unlimited 2 and use these settings, Buttons and Frames, 3D Glass Frame 1 and the Frame size set to 25.


( 14 ) Place your name on it if you want, Save as a JPG and you are finished.

Please Note: All LAYERS are turned off on all tubes. Tubes are by Suzi Sgai and Manons Creations. You will also need the filters, ColorRave which I have supplied in the zip file and Filters Unlimited which you can get Here Place the filters in your PSP plugin folder. Bring up the kit and tubes I supplied in PSP. Go to your layers view all on all of the tubes.


( 1 ) Open a new 700 x 450 Transparent Image.


( 2 ) New Layer. Selections select all, In the kit gwyn_kit03 click on the layer raster 1, copy and paste into the selection.


( 3 ) Effects, ColorRave, Atmospherizer 1.1 at default settings. Image mirror.


( 4 ) New Layer. Selections select all, In the kit gwyn_kit03 click on the layer raster 4, copy and paste into the selection. Selections select none.


( 5 ) Effect, < I.C.NET Software > Filters Unlimited 2, Edges, Square, Square Edge 13.


( 6 ) Image, resize and resize by 85% all layers unchecked. Effects 3D effects, dropshadow with these settings, V & H 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5 and color Black. Repeat with V & H at -2.


( 7 ) Image Rotate, Free rotate and rotate by 10 deg to the left. Layers duplicate, Image mirror. Now move these two paper layers out to the edge on both sides.


( 8 ) New Layer. Go to your selection tool, custom selection with these settings, Top 40, Left, 359, Right 664 and Bottom 395.PSP 8.1


( 9 ) In the kit gwyn_kit03 click on the layer raster 15, copy and paste into the selection.


( 10 ) Click with your magic wand inside the frame, selections modify and expand by 15. New Layer. Layers arrange, move down. In the kit gwyn_kit03 click on the layer raster 2. Copy and paste into the selection. Selections, select none.


( 11 ) Go to the tube SS_1631_Misted, resize the tube layer by 65%. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Take your deform tool and move the tube and fit it into the frame.


( 12 ) Effects, ColorRave, Atmospherizer 1.1 at default settings.


( 13 ) Close off your bottom 3 layers and merge visible and once again apply the ColorRave, Atmospherizer 1.1 at default settings. Layer view, view all.


( 14 ) In the kit gwyn_kit03 click on the layer raster 5, copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Take your deform tool and sqeeze it in a bit to make it narrower.


( 15 ) Adjust color balance, manual color correction and use these settings. Source color #F3F0E9, Target color #898989 Hit OK. (I understand that after Version 8.1 of PSP this option is no longer available. You will have to try and colorise it some other way.) Place it at the top of the frame. (See my image)


( 16 ) Layers duplicate and image flip and place it at the bottom of the frame.


( 17 ) In the kit gwyn_kit03 click on the layer raster 7, copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Take your deform tool and sqeeze it in a bit to make it narrower.


( 18 ) Adjust color balance, manual color correction and use these settings. Source color #F3F0E9, Target color #898989 Hit OK.


( 19 ) Image Rotate, Free rotate and rotate by 90 deg to the left. Place it over to the left of your canvas.


( 20 ) Effects 3D effects, dropshadow with these settings, V & H 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5 and color Black. Repeat with V & H at -2.


( 21 ) Layers duplicate and image mirror. Layers duplicate. Image Rotate, Free rotate and rotate by 90 deg to the left. Place it to the top. Take your deform tool and pull it out to reach the other side.Layers duplicate and image flip.


( 22 ) Merge these outside frame layers visible.


( 23 ) Go to the tube Mtm-photos 48-CA-small- tube 24 Feb 2007. Take your freehand selection tool and make a selection around the dress only. Selections float, selections defloat.


( 24 ) Adjust color balance, manual color correction and use these settings. Source color #DFD9CD, Target color #D8D8D8 Hit OK. Selections, select none. Copy.


( 25 ) Paste as a new layer onto your image. Image, resize and resize by 80% all layers unchecked. Place her beside the frame (see my image)


( 26 ) Effect 3D effects, dropshadow with these settings, H & V 0, Opacity 50, blur 15 and color black.


( 27 ) In the kit gwyn_kit03 click on the layer raster 14, copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Image Mirror. Place it under the small frame. Take your deform tool and sqeeze it in a bit to make it narrower and pull it out to make it a bit wider. Effects, ColorRave, Atmospherizer 1.1 at default settings.


( 28 ) Take a nice font and write something on your banner. I wrote ‘My Dream’ Give the text a nice dropshadow.


( 29 ) In the kit gwyn_kit03 click on the layer raster 13. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Place it at the top left corner of the outer frame.


( 30 ) Effects, ColorRave, Atmospherizer 1.1 at default settings.


( 31 ) Paste as a new layer again and put it to the top right corner of the outer frame. ( we have to paste these buttons seperately so we can get the different colors with the Color Rave plugin)


( 32 ) Effects, ColorRave, Atmospherizer 1.1 at default settings. Layers merge, merge down.


( 33 ) Layers duplicate, Image flip, layers merge, merge down.


( 34 ) Go to your frame layer and with the eraser, erase the bits of the frame that are showing around the outer edges of the buttons.


( 35 ) Go to the buttons layer. Effects 3D effects Dropshadow with these settings V & H 2, Opacity 58, blur 5, color black. Repeat with V & H at -2.


( 36 ) Make sure you are now on your top layer. In the kit gwyn_kit03 click on the layer raster 10. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Image resize and resize by 65% all layers unchecked. Place it to the bottom left (see my image)


( 37 ) Effects 3D effects Dropshadow with these settings. V & H 0, Opacity 100, Blur 5 and color #FFC474


( 38) (Optional) I also took this image and resized it by 35% twice, duplicated it as many times as I needed to place around the bottom of the ladies skirt (see my image) Merged them visible. Then used the ColorRave, Atmospherizer 1.1 at default settings, then lowered the opacity to 62


( 39 ) Copy the tube butterfly-pin and paste as a new layer. Place it where you want.


( 40 ) Layers merge, merge all.


( 41 ) Image add borders 1, color Black. Image add borders 15, color #FFFFFF. Select this border with your magic wand, In the kit gwyn_kit03 click on the layer raster 1, copy and paste into the selection. apply ColorRave, Atmospherizer 1.1 at default settings, hold the selection.


( 42 ) Effects, I.C. Net Software, Filters Unlimited, Buttons and Frames, 3D Glass Frame 1, Frame size 15 and contrast 60. Resize to your original size and you are finished.

Scrap Blend 11 Tutorial By Marleschka

This tutorial was made in PSP 8.1 but I am sure could be done in any version. For this I used a Scrap Kit from Sentimental Style who is no longer online. You can get it Here. Tube is by Serena I have supplied a corner embellishment made from the scrap kit. You can get them Here

Please Note: All LAYERS are turned off on all tubes. You will also need the filters FM Tile Tools and Filters Unlimited 2 Bring up the tubes I supplied in PSP. Go to your layers view all on all of the tubes.


( 1 ) Open a new 800 x 600 Transparent Image. New layer.


( 2 ) In the kit SE_ScrapKit_BlameItOnTheRain, click on the layer SE_BlameItOnTheRain_Paper_1, copy and paste as a new image. In your foreground Patterns find this image and set it to Angle 0, Scale 100 and flood fill your image. (You can delete that paper now, we won’t need it again)


( 3 ) In the kit SE_ScrapKit_BlameItOnTheRain, click on the layer SE_BlameItOnTheRain_Paper_2, copy and paste as a new image.


( 4 ) Effects, I.C.NET Software, Filters Unlimted 2 and use these settings, Edges, Square and use Square Edge 12. Copy.


( 5 ) Paste as a new layer onto your image. Image rotate and rotate by 45 deg right or left, it doesn’t matter. Effects, FM Tile Tools, Blend Emboss at default settings.


( 6 ) Effects 3d effects dropshadow with these settings V & H 2, Opacity 20, blur 10 and color black. Repeat with V & H at -2. Pull it down till the tip sits at the very top. Duplicate and Image flip.

Scrap Blend


( 7 ) Go back to the paper you applied the filter to and undo the filter. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Leave it there. You can now delete that paper.


( 8 ) Effects, FM Tile Tools, Blend Emboss at default settings, repeat. Give it the same dropshadow as in step 6.


( 9 ) In the kit SE_ScrapKit_BlameItOnTheRain, click on the layer SE_BlameItOnTheRain_Ric-Rac, copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Resize by 85%, all layers unchecked. With your deform tool pull it out to fit the canvas. Place it at the bottom ( see my image ) Place the blend mode of this layer on LuminanceL.


( 10 ) Effects 3d effects dropshadow with these settings V & H 0, Opacity 40, blur 8 and color black. Duplicate this layer and Image flip.


( 11 ) In the kit SE_ScrapKit_BlameItOnTheRain, click on the layer SE_BlameItOnTheRain_Paper_3, copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. With your deform tool pull it up and down to fit. Place it to the very left ( see my image )


( 12 ) Effects 3d effects dropshadow with these settings V 0 & H 2, Opacity 20, blur 10 and color black. Duplicate this layer and Image Mirror.


( 13 ) Copy this paper again and paste as a new layer. Image Rotate Free Rotate and rotate it by 40deg to the right. Place it at the top left corner. Give it the same dropshadow as in step 12. Duplicate and Image mirror. Layers Merge, Merge down, duplicate and image flip.


( 14 ) In the kit SE_ScrapKit_BlameItOnTheRain, click on the layer SE_BlameItOnTheRain_Frame, copy and paste as a new layer onto your image.


( 15 ) With your magic wand click inside the frame, selections modify and expand by 4. New layer, layers arrange move down. Go back to the last paper and copy again, back to your image and paste into selection. Selections select none. Effects 3d effects, dropshadow with these settings, V & H 0, opacity 40, blur 10 and color black.


( 16 ) Click back on the frame layer and with your magic wand select inside the frame and selections expand by 4. New layer, layers arrange move down.


( 17 ) Copy the tube CliveOwen003-sdh and paste it into the selection. Selection, select none. With your deform tool pull it down a little from the top. Effects 3d effects, drop shadow with these settings, V 0, H -4, opacity 30, blur 15 and color black.


( 18 ) Click back on your frame layer, Effects 3d effects drop shadow with these settings, V 0, H 2, Opacity 40, Blur 15.


( 19 ) Layers merge, merge down and repeat. Move this frame to the right. (see my image)


( 20 ) In the kit SE_ScrapKit_BlameItOnTheRain, click on the layer SE_BlameItOnTheRain_StringFlowers, copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Place it over the frame. Effects 3d effects drop shadow with these settings, V 1, H 1, Opacity 80, Blur 1 and color black. Place the blend mode of this layer on LuminanceL.


( 21 ) In the kit SE_ScrapKit_BlameItOnTheRain, click on the layer SE_BlameItOnTheRain_FlowerDoodle, copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Place it to the left and so that the very top flower sits on the ric-rac. With your deform tool pull it down so it sits on top of the ric-rac at the bottom.


( 22 ) In the kit SE_ScrapKit_BlameItOnTheRain, click on the layer SE_BlameItOnTheRain_Umbrella, copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Place it to the right over the frame so that the curve of the handle sits where the 2 frames cross.


( 23 ) With your freehand selection tool set to point to point, lower the opacity of the umbrella layer and trace down the inside of the frame across and up the other side and across again, hit your delete key so the handle looks like it is around the frame.. Selections select none.


( 24 ) Effects 3d effects, drop shadow with these settings, V -3, H 3, Opacity 50, blur 8 and color black.


( 25 ) With your pen tool with these settings, create as vector, Mode, drawing, Segment Type, point to point, Line Style Solid, Width 1, and your foreground color set to #FFFFFF, trace around the top of the umbrella.


( 26 ) Now click on your object selection tool and move it down, with the line where you want your text to be.


( 27 ) Go to your text tool set to Font Andes, size 18 and your background color to #E6D1AE, place your mouse over the line till you see the rocker and then type BLAME IT ON THE RAIN. Move your text with your spacer bar till it is where you want it and apply.


( 28 ) Go to your layer pallet, click on the plus sign on vector 1 and then click on the eye beside the new shape. Convert to a raster layer.


( 29 ) Effects 3d effects, drop shadow with these settings, V 2, H 2, Opacity 60, blur 1 and color black.


( 30 ) Copy the tube scrap-blend11-corner-embellishment and paste as a new layer onto your image. Place it on the top right corner. Layer duplicate, image mirror. Layers merge, merge down. Layer duplicate and image flip.


( 31 ) Make sure everything is in it’s right place and merge all.


( 32 ) Image Add Borders 2 and color #714913.


( 33 ) Resize to the size you want and you are finished.

Blend 29

Tutorial By Marleschka

This tutorial was made in PSP 8.1 but I am sure could be done in any version. You will need 3 tubes, a background and a pattern which are supplied in the zip file. You can get my zipped file Here. Tubes are from Nancy. Mask is from Zuzzanna. Place the selection file in your selections folder, the pattern in your patterns folder.

Please Note: All Layers Are Turned Off On Tubes. Bring the tubes up in PSP.


( 1 ) Open a new 800 x 500 transparent Image.


( 2 ) With your foreground on #ffd05e and your background on #714c36 make a foreground background gradient with these settings, style linear, angle 128 repeats 1, invert not checked and flood fill your image. Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur set at 30. Image Mirror.


( 3 ) New layer. Place your foreground on pattern and find the pattern_blend29, Angle 0 and Scale 100 and floodfill your layer. Place the blend mode on Luminance L and lower the opacity to 20.


( 4 ) New Layer, Selections Load/Save Selection, Load Selection From Disc and find looking. Apply with these settings, Source Luminance checked and Replace Selection checked.


( 5 ) Flood fill this layer with your gradient. Adjust Blur, Gaussian Blur with the same settings as before. Keep the selection.


( 6 ) New Layer, copy the tube sunset_blend29 and Paste into selection. Layer merge merge down. Keep the selection.


( 7 ) Layers Load/Save Mask from disc, Load mask from disc and find zuzzanna_mask32 and apply with these settings, Source Luminance, Fit to layer checked, Invert Transparency checked and Hide All mask checked. Layers merge, merge group. Keep the selection.


( 8 ) Effects 3D Effects drop shadow, V & H 10, Opacity 50, blur 15 and color black, again with V & H at -10. selections, select none.Blend 29


( 9 ) Take your pen tool with these settings, point to point, create as vector, line solid and width 3. Background color on nul. Foreground on #ffd05e.


( 10 ) Draw a line all the way across the bottom of the curve, layers duplicate, layers convert to raster layer, layers duplicate and image flip.


( 11 ) Go back to your original vector layer. Take your Text Tool set to the font I supplied and size 65, switch your foreground, background colors, foreground on nul, Place your cursor almost in the center and you have the U and write Looking through the eyes of love, or whatever you wish.


( 12 ) Obects, align, horz, Center in Canvas. In your layer pallet, close the eye on New Path of the vector layer and convert to a raster layer and apply the following dropshadow. V & H 2, Opacity 50, blur 15 and color black.


(13 ) Copy the tube man and paste as a new layer onto your image. Place him to the very right.


(14 ) Copy the tube woman and paste as a new layer onto your image. Place her to the very left.


(15 ) Go to your mask layer and with your eraser set to size 90, Hardness 0 and opacity 50 clear away some of the mask from the man and womans faces. Layers merge, merge visible.


(16 ) Selections, select all, selections modify by 3, selections invert and floodfill with #ffd05e.


(17 ) Place your name on your image if you wish, save as a jpg and you are finished.
