This tutorial was made in PSPX2 but can be done in any version. For this tutorial I used a Scrap Kit and some word art from Sentimental Style who is no longer online. 2 Tubes are from Charlie here at PSP Pals.
You can get them, the pic I used & the Scrap Kit I used Here Bring the brush SE_wordART_Christmas_Quote_11 up in PSP and go to Files, Export, Custom Brush. Give it a name and hit OK. You will also need the filter, Filters Unlimited2

Use a small eraser, I used size 5 down to 2 with hardness and opacity set to 100. Duplicate this layer and place it to the right and then do the same with the eraser. Effects 3D effects dropshadow with the same settings as before on both layers.

( 27 ) Swop your silver background to the foreground and take your pen tool set to Line Style Diamond, Draw Point To Point, Create as Vector & Anti-alias ticked, Width 2. Click on the layer below your star and starting in the center of your star draw a line to the top of the branch on the tree. Watch your numbers so you have the line straight. Edit copy, click on frame 9 (it must be the only one ticked) Edit paste after current frame, Animation, reverse frames. Now click on frame 10, hold down your Ctrl key and then click on frame 18, right click and hit delete.
( 29 ) Back to your image in PSP and Draw out another star and line like you did before. Repeat all as you did before. Do this 2 more times. You can add as many stars as you like but be careful on how many because it will make your image very heavy. As you can see I have done 3 stars.
( 30 ) When you have finished your stars in animation shop go back to your image in PSP and delete the stars layers. Place your name on it if you wish. Merge visible. Edit copy your image.
( 31 ) Back into Animation Shop and paste as a new animation. Duplicate this image so you have 16 frames in all. Edit select all. Go to one of your animated stars, edit select all, edit copy, back to your main image and paste into selected frame and place it where it needs to go.
( 32 ) Do the same with the rest of your stars, view it to make sure it looks right.
( 33 ) Save as a gif file and you are finished.
