Victorian Christmas

Tutorial By Marleschka

This tutorial was made in PSP 8.1 but I am sure could be done in any version. For this tutorial I used 13 tubes, (please note: all tubes layers are closed on these tubes) all of which are supplied in the zip files.

You can get my zipped files Here And Here I have split the tubes into 2 zip files so as to cut down on size.

The Christmas Ornaments you see in this tutorial are original and made by Charlie and you can find more Here There are 3 Pages of them. I have supplied all of the papers and embellishments for this tutorial but If you would like to know how to do them so you can make this look different then click Here

Bring up the tubes in PSP.

( 1 ) Open a new 625 x 525 transparent Image.

( 2 ) With your foreground on #FAE9CB and your background on #C8CCB0, In your foreground make a foreground background gradient with these settings, style linear, angle 0 repeats 0, invert checked and flood fill your image. ( please note the lighter color should be at the top of your gradient.)

( 3 ) Copy the tube paper1 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Place the opacity on 26.

( 4 )Copy the tube paper2 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Image, rotate, rotate right 15deg, all layers unchecked.Victorian Christmas

( 8 ) Go to the tube scrap-pic. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your image. Move it up and over slightly to the right (see my Image)

( 9 ) Effects 3D effects Dropshadow with these settings. V & H 2, Opacity 60 and Blur 15, Shadow on new layer checked. Now click back on the pic and repeat the drop shadow at V & H -2.

( 10 ) Close off all layers except for the shadow layers and the pic and merge visible. Un X your layers.

( 11 ) Go to the tube scrap-deco1 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Place it to the bottom left of the pic. (See my Image) You can move it again later if you have to.

( 12 ) Go to the tube scrap-deco2 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Place it to the bottom right of the pic. (See my Image) You can move it again later if you have to.

( 13 ) Go to the tube scrap-deco3 and paste as a new layer onto your Image. Place it in the top left corner of the pic (See my Image)

( 14 ) Duplicate this layer and Image mirror. Move it into place. Close off all layers except the last two and merge visible. Un X your layers. Duplicate this merged layer and place it to the bottom of the pic.

( 15 ) Now you can move those Xmas balls so they look like they are hanging from that last layer.
